Yes, it is that time again... wedding fair season. It’s come around quickly and not so quietly, but how can you work out which ones are worth attending?
Well, we’re here to tell you, you definitely need to grab your tickets for is A Most Curious Wedding Fair, on the 4th and 5th of March at The Old Truman Brewery, London.
The original wedding fair for the indie businesses and the style-led, design-conscious couples who crave something different – the dreamers, the designers, the movers, the rockstars, and the creatives.
We're sure you have heard of it but just incase you haven't, here are 9 reasons why we love A Most Curious Wedding Fair:
It’s the trend-setter for styling.
It predicted the rise of greenery + minimalist botanicals in 2016, the resurgence of neon pink 80s tacky tastefulness in 2017, and this year, they’re showing us how we’re going to be swooning over flowers before we even know it ourselves. Fashioned on a modern interpretation of the Haight Ashbury hippy vibes, it’s going to feature a lot of flowers and a lot of Perspex.
Food glorious food!
This year Most Curious are embracing the food market vibes that we all know and love Brick Lane for, curating their very own FEAST section, full of delish ideas to inspire your wedding catering! The foodie line-up looks to die for – with everything from Greek street food to gin sorbets.... YES, YOU READ THAT RIGHT.... GIN SORBETS. You have been warned.
People you’ve idolised on IG forever and lusted over on Pinterest are all there, and there to talk to! You can create your bespoke wedding team of dreams right there and then.
Like the insane Woburn Bridal X Bowen Dryden “Badass Bridesmaids” collection teased on socials last week, officially launching at Most Curious, the set of dreamy separates in powerful cuts with serious embellishment and rockstar attitude is one of many Most Curious exclusives.
Get your hands dirty!
There are interactive workshops and events on the day to really get the most – including gin workshops from Portobello Road-based the Distillery, bouquet tying workshops from Hazel Gardiner, herbal tea tasting and favour making workshop from Hackney Herbal, and a jewellery and headpiece making workshop by our very own Book of Love babes Jane Bowler Bridal...
Meet some Book Of Love Babes!
You’ll get the chance to meet some of our incredible Book of Love Suppliers in person, soak up their loveliness in real life and get cracking on some incredible plans.
Portraits Bridal are also sponsoring the show, and giving free mini makeovers on the day!
Strike a pose!
It’s a great chance to see your favourite bridal designs on a catwalk that caters for and thrives in alternative taste, with the promise of no glitzy bouffant meringues.
Ritual Unions are traveling over especially for the show – will be there to see in the flesh, with styling inspiration in abundance.
There are 2 catwalk shows – the first is Haight-Ashbury themed, and the second is geometric inspired, drawing influences from architecture. We know where we’ll be!
We’ll be there!
... but seriously – we don’t endorse anything we don’t believe in because we’re here to help you navigate your way around the crap of wedding planning, not draw you into it.
See you there!
