Hello Un-Wedding fans and congratulations on your engagement! My name is Cara and I’m the music nerd/DJ behind Rave the Date. I started this business after playing two very special weddings for close friends, and I had so much fun I decided to take the plunge into doing this for strangers too!

If your taste is anything but mainstream, then you need someone who knows and loves alternative music to keep your dancefloor overflowing with the best tunes all night. I love nothing more than shaking my tailfeather at a wedding disco, but I think we can do better than the same predictable playlists that appear time after time. Your wedding should sound as unique as you are – that means filling the air with music that tells your story and celebrates the most important people in your lives. What’s ‘your song’? The one that makes you run to meet your pals on the dancefloor? No wedding should be planned without those special tracks.

The genres I love to play include, but are definitely not limited to: techno, electronica, disco, funk, soul, punk, emo, metal, grunge, indie, and dnb. I can mix tracks and genres live for maximum dancefloor energy, while also putting together relaxed, romantic daytime playlists to set the tone before your guests are ready to let their hair down! I have my own equipment and can work directly with your venue to make sure everything runs smoothly on the day.
