The Un-Wedding Show Newcastle: A Day to Remember at The Garden Rooms

Well, that has to be our most tropical event yet! The Un-Wedding Show Newcastle made it’s debut on Sunday, 27th April inside The Garden Rooms, amongst all of it’s luscious leaves. The sun was shining, and casting its magic upon all of our beautiful suppliers beneath a canopy of glitter by Imaginarium Balloons.
Let me start by saying: what. a. venue. Nestled in the heart of Newcastle, The Biscuit Factory is a contemporary art gallery with a creative soul. It was the perfect setting for our community of modern couples who want a wedding that breaks the mould. The Garden Rooms are light and life! This space offered the ultimate canvas for our show, letting our curated chaos come to life in the most magical way.
The Dream Team: Our Curated Supplier Line-Up
Not to be mistaken with one of those corporate exhibitions, we carefully curated a line-up of the best independent wedding suppliers, and let me tell you – they brought their A-game.
Velvet Johnstone Bridal wowed us with fashion-forward designs for modern brides who want to ditch the cookie-cutter look. Think effortlessly cool gowns that are as unique as you are.

Sunday Girl Floral turned heads with her playful display of abundant blooms full of texture and personality. Their floral installations were nothing short of a masterpiece, setting the tone for the day.

GobCake epitomises everything we love about the creative, wedding industry! A colourful, and personality-packed brand creating fun cake pops that can be used for gifting purposes, or show-stopping dessert tables.
GobCake turned heads (and tastebuds) with cheeky, colourful creations — including this Powerpuff Girls pop-art cake moment and signature playful styling.
GobCake's colourful setup was full of fun, flair and flavour – from Powerpuff pops to their iconic 'Peep Show' charm.
Somebody Else's Guy brought serious fashion energy to the show with their gender-neutral collection designed for modern lovers. Their bold, expressive pieces challenge traditional wedding wear and offer something fresh for anyone who wants to show up as their true self on their big day. Fierce, fluid, and full of individuality – we were obsessed!

Sean Elliott Photography stole the show with his editorial style images. When you can’t tell if a portrait is a painting or a photograph then you know you are onto something special.

And finally, everyone’s favourite alternative audio guest book, I Just Called To Say... was a real crowd-pleaser once again with its fun twist on traditional guestbooks.

The Vibe: A Community Like No Other
What made the day truly unforgettable was YOU. Our Newcastle crowd was warm, welcoming, and totally up for it. The vibe was joyful and inclusive, with couples, friends, and families soaking up the inspiration in the sunshine. You showed up with open hearts and an open mind, and it reminded me exactly why we do what we do.
Our Charity Partner: VOW for Girls
A donation will be made to Vow For Girls to send 1 girl to school for a year. Vow for Girls is a charity that exists to end the international child marriage crisis and support girls to live lives they love. Over 12 million girls become child brides each year, that's 1 every 3 seconds! Vow works together with the wedding industry to raise funds and awareness. All funds go directly towards community-based efforts that help to end child marriage like providing education, job training and vital life skills.
