The Moon And The Stars Were The Gifts You Gave: Witchy Bridal Inspiration Shoot

Photography by Sarah Mac

This sun, moon and stars shoot has serious Witchy vibes and with Halloween approaching, this is the perfect bridal inspiration shoot to get you in the mood.

Photographer Sarah and MUA Hollie felt were drawn to collaborate on something mysterious whilst navigating their way through the dry spell of weddings that this pandemic has brought on. With both creatives living near Weymouth, the seafront museum of Nothe Fort was an ideal setting.

Bridal MUA Hollie Danby gave assigned each model the identities of: The Sun, The Moon, and The Stars, creating 3 individual looks that centered around these iconographies.

But, the girls really brought this theme to life by giving us glimpses of their own personalities as well as the incredible props, background, and table styling we had for the shoot, giving the characters a space to exist in.

We wanted to nod towards out shared love for tarot, zodiac, crystal healing and Pagan history which can be seen throughout in the both the bridal and decor styling. The giant moon crescent from Roka Bella Rose Weddings is the perfect backdrop for an esoteric ceremony.

Our brides wore a range of stunning gowns from Indie Bride London with a slight bohemian feel to soften the look. Stunning veils from W Collective and accessories from Victoria Lousie Accessories were added for any extra dimension of sorcery.

Tiana at Wildwood Weddings and Events brought the whole concept together with a rustic and impactful tablescape that works perfectly for a micro wedding or could be adapted for something on a larger scale using a mix of fresh and dried florals by Robyn's Nest Floral Design, ceramics from Imogen Charleston and stationery by Scribe Stationery.

Hope you’ve been inspired by this Bohemian Witch style bridal shoot as much as much as we have! See below for full list of all suppliers involved and give them a follow on Insta!
